Every one of Our Children is the sole purpose of the Mothers Union Childrens' Home. We provide temporary care and shelter for:
Children who are abandoned at hospitals and elsewhere
- Children whose parents are on drugs and alcohol, or who are abused and left to fend for themselves
- Children who have been removed from their homes because of incest and other forms of sexual or physical abuse
Children whose parents or guardians may be receiving institutional care and are left without caregivers
- Children whose parents have been incarcerated
- Children who are suffering from some form of distress, resulting in their need for temporary care and shelter.
We provide care for up to 15 displaced Children between the ages of 1 1/2 years to 12 years for a period of 4 to 8 months. To date we have housed over one hundred children. Children are typically referred by the Children's Authority.
